Eller Group Welcomes Doc Sweitzer, Blathrae Gillin

(Austin, TX) — Eller Group, LLC today announces the addition of Thomas M. “Doc” Sweitzer and Blathrae Gillin to its team of best-in-class crisis, litigation and public affairscommunications consultants.

“I have known Doc for more than 30 years. His expertise in digital media and campaigns will help our clients significantly,” said Jeff Eller, Founder and CEO of Eller Group. “Blathrae brings additional skills as we increase our advocacy work. We’re excited to have her join our team.”

Doc is a Democratic media consultant who has worked on more than 600 domestic and international political campaigns. He helped elect more than 50 members of the U.S. House and Senate and six Democratic governors. He also created advertising for MD Anderson/Cooper, Blue Cross, and numerous issue campaigns for corporate and nonprofit clients.

He is a founding board member of Respectability, a national advocacy group for people with disabilities. He served as the executive chair of the 14 colleges in the University System of Higher Education in Pennsylvania, and was awarded an honorary doctorate for his service to his hometown.

Blathrae brings more than 10 years of experience managing corporate and nonprofit communications and marketing campaigns for nationally recognized institutions. Prior to joining Eller Group, Blathrae managed strategic marketing campaigns as a marketing supervisor at Ochsner Health. She also worked for the Greater New Orleans Foundation and Hill + Knowlton Strategies.

She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in International Affairs and a degree in Spanish. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa society.

Doc and Blathrae join a team of industry veterans well known for its deep experience and fierce focus.
